embedding aperture custom fields via embedded XMP into versions on export

hello

Is it possible to embed XMP data on export into version? i know it is possible in aperture with the Lightbox plugin, but aperture wont export custom fields?

i use a lot of custom fields, and need to be able to get that metadata into an embedded xmp, in order to build a searchable online gallery. i would just use text files, but the gallery will only look for XMP.

is there a better way?

I've been looking into XMP

I've been looking into XMP import and export for Aperture Assistant, but you'd need to check if the gallery software will read custom XMP tags, not just standard IPTC ones.
